TITLE: Official Description Change: Unsigned Iowa 984, Scott County

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Unsigned Iowa 984 begins on the north corporation line of the City of Bettendorf, and travels northeasterly to US 67 in the City of Le Claire.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑984‑0 (1) between Scott County and the Iowa Department of Transportation and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑984‑0 (3) between the City of Le Claire and the Iowa Department of Transportation transferred unsigned Iowa 984 from the north corporation line of the City of Bettendorf in the NW ¼ Section 18‑T78N‑R5E northeasterly to US 67 in the City of Le Claire to local jurisdiction on June 7, 1982.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the description of unsigned Iowa 984 in Scott County be deleted from the primary road system.

Remove Unsigned Iowa 984 in Scott County as follows:

Beginning on the north corporation line of the City of Bettendorf connecting with an unnamed street; thence in a northeasterly direction through Sections 18, 7, 8, 5 and 4‑T78N‑R5E to the west corporation line of the City of Le Claire connecting with an unnamed street.

Le Claire:

Beginning on the west corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence generally easterly to US 67.

Unsigned Iowa 984 begins on the north corporation line of Bettendorf, and travels generally northeasterly to the west corporation line of Le Claire, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Unsigned Iowa 984 in Scott County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Unsigned Iowa 984 in Scott County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Unsigned Iowa 984 in Scott County as follows:

Beginning on the north corporation line of the City of Bettendorf connecting with an unnamed street; thence in a northeasterly direction through Sections 18, 7, 8, 5 and 4‑T78N‑R5E to the west corporation line of the City of Le Claire connecting with an unnamed street.

Locate Unsigned Iowa 984 in Scott County, Iowa, as follows:

Beginning on the north corporation line of Bettendorf in Section 18‑T78N‑R5E connecting with an unnamed street; thence in a northeasterly direction through Sections 18, 7, 8, 5, 4, and 9‑T78N‑R5E to its junction with U.S. 67 in the NE ¼ Section 9‑T78N‑R5E.

NOW THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa State Highway Commission approve the revision of the above Primary Road Description.

NOTE: To become effective upon adoption of this resolution.
