New Description ‑ Unsigned Iowa 927 and its extensions in Scott County described as follows:

 

Beginning on the east corporation line of Durant (Scott‑Cedar County line) connecting with an unnamed street at a point approximately 600 feet north of the SW Corner of Section 31‑T79N‑R1E; thence in a southeasterly direction through Section 31‑T79N‑R1E to a point on the Scott‑Muscatine County line approximately 250 feet east of the S ¼Corner of Section 31‑T79N‑R1E, (a point approximately 250 feet east of the N ¼Corner of Section 6‑T78N‑R1E, Muscatine County); thence east along the Scott‑Muscatine County line (see Muscatine County) to the west corporation line of Walcott, connecting with an unnamed street at a point near the SE Corner Section 36‑T79N‑R1E Scott County (NE Corner Section 1‑T78N‑R1E Muscatine County).

 

Walcott:

 

Beginning on the west corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence easterly to the east corporation line, connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Beginning again on the east corporation line of Walcott connecting with an unnamed street; thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2‑T78N‑R2E to the west corporation line of Davenport, connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Davenport:

 

Beginning on the west corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence generally southeasterly to a junction with Interstate 280 and US 6.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to the relocation of US 6 in Scott County, unsigned Iowa 927 has been created and its description should be officially included in the primary road system.

 

Unsigned Iowa 927 begins on the Scott‑Cedar County line at the City of Durant and proceeds easterly via the cities of Walcott and Davenport to a junction with Interstate 280 and US 6 in the City of Davenport.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended the commission approve including the attached description of unsigned Iowa 927 in Scott County in the primary road system.


Locate unsigned Iowa 927 and its extensions in Scott County as follows:
