DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

New Description - Unsigned Iowa 331 and its extensions in Polk County described as follows:

West Des Moines:

Beginning at the junction of Interstate 35 (approximately 750 feet west and 170 feet south of the SE Corner Section 30-T78N-R25W) on Army Post Road; thence northeasterly on Army Post Road to a point near the S ¼ Corner Section 29-T78N-R25W; thence easterly on Army Post Road following substantially the south section line of Sections 29, 28, and 27-T78N-R25W to the east corporation line of West Des Moines/west corporation line of Des Moines (approximately 2650 feet west of SE Corner Section 26-T78N-R25W).

Des Moines:

Beginning again at the west corporation line/east corporation line of West Des Moines connecting with Army Post Road (approximately 2650 feet west of SE Corner Section 26-T78N-R25W); thence easterly on Army Post Road following substantially the south section line of Section 26-T78N-R25W to the junction of Iowa 28 (approximately 1020 feet west of SE Corner Section 26-T78N-R25W).

PROPOSAL / ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve adding the description of Unsigned Iowa 331 in Polk County to the Primary Road System.
