DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 2004-TJ-2004, between Plymouth County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Unsigned Iowa 404 beginning approximately 950 feet west and 560 feet north of the SE Corner Section 19-T92N-R45W connecting with 200th Street; thence northeasterly through Sections 19 and 20-T92N-R45W to the south corporation line of Le Mars connecting with Hawkeye Avenue (approximately 490 feet east of the W ¼ Corner of said Section 20-T92N-R45W) to county jurisdiction on November 26, 2007.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 2004-TJ-005, between the City of Le Mars and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Unsigned Iowa 404 from the south corporation line connecting with Hawkeye Avenue; thence northeasterly to 5th Avenue Southwest; thence northerly on 5th Avenue Southwest to the junction of Iowa 3/5th Avenue Northwest to city jurisdiction on November 26, 2007.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 2004-TJ-003, between Plymouth County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Unsigned Iowa 404 beginning at the junction of Iowa 60 at a point approximately 1990 feet south and 2090 feet west of the NE Corner Section 27-T93N-R45W; thence southeasterly and easterly to a point approximately 2250 feet south and 1450 feet west of  the NE Corner of said Section 27-T93N-R45W; thence northeasterly through Sections 27, 26 and 23-T93N-R45W to a dead end (approximately 1770 feet west of the E ¼ Corner of said Section 23-T93N-R45W) to county jurisdiction on November 26, 2007.

 

New Description – Unsigned Iowa 404 and its extensions in Plymouth County described as follows:

 

Le Mars:

 

Beginning at the junction of Iowa 3/5th Avenue Northwest; thence northerly on 5th Avenue Northwest to the north corporation line (approximately 1850 feet south and 40 feet east of the NW Corner Section 9-T92N-R45W).

 

Beginning on the north corporation line of Le Mars connecting with 5th Avenue Northwest; thence northerly following substantially the west section line of Sections 9 and 4-T92N-R45W to the junction US 75/Iowa 60 (approximately 2020 feet south of the NW Corner of said Section 4-T92N-R45W).

Due to the new bypass of US 75 and Iowa 60 around Le Mars the old routes were designated Unsigned Iowa 404 and the description should be changed to reflect this.

 

New description – Unsigned Iowa 404 and its extensions in Plymouth County described as follows:

 

Beginning approximately 950 feet west and 560 feet north of the SE Corner Section 19-T92N-R45W connecting with 200th Street; thence northeasterly through Sections 19 and 20-T92N-R45W to the south corporation line of Le Mars connecting with Hawkeye Avenue (approximately 490 feet east of the W ¼ Corner of said Section 20-T92N-R45W).
