DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Unsigned Iowa 999 begins at Iowa 333 approximately one and one-quarter miles southwest of the City of College Springs and travels northeasterly into the City of College Springs.

 

A construction agreement, between Page County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of unsigned Iowa 999 from Iowa 333 near the N ¼ Corner Section 30‑T67N‑R37W northeasterly to the south corporation line of the City of College Springs to county jurisdiction on August 26, 1980.

 

An agreement, between the City of College Springs and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of unsigned Iowa 999 from the south corporation line northerly and easterly to Spruce Street to city jurisdiction on December 15, 1980.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of unsigned Iowa 999 in Page County from the primary road system.

 

Remove unsigned Iowa 999 and its extension in Page County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 30‑T67N‑R37W; thence northerly through Section 19‑T67N‑R37W to a point approximately 370 feet south of the center of Section 19‑T67N-­R37W; thence in a northeasterly direction through Section 19-­T67N‑R37W to a point near the NE Corner of said Section 19; thence northerly following substantially the section line of Section 17‑T67N‑R37W to the south corporation line of the City of College Springs connecting with an unnamed street.

 

College Springs:

 

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly and easterly on unnamed street to Spruce Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Unsigned Iowa 999 in Page County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

Unsigned Iowa 999 begins at a junction with Iowa 333 approximately 2 miles southwest of College Springs, and travels generally north­easterly to a point in the city of College Springs, Iowa.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate Unsigned Iowa 999 and its extension in Page County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 30‑T67N‑R37W; thence northerly through Section 19‑T67N‑R37W to a point approximately 370 feet south of the center of Section 19‑T67N‑R37W; thence in a northeasterly direction through Section 19‑T67N‑R37W to a point near the NE Corner of said Section 19; thence northerly following substantially the section line of Section 17‑T67N‑R37W to the south corporation line of the city of College Springs connecting with an unnamed street.

 

College Springs:

 

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly and easterly on unnamed street to Spruce Street.

 

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Unsigned Iowa 999 in Page County, Iowa.

 

NOTE: To become effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
