Wilton:

Beginning on 5th Street at US 6 and Iowa 38; thence easterly on 5th Street to the east corporation line.

Beginning again on the east corporation line of Wilton, connecting with 5th Street; thence northeasterly through Sections 6, 5 and 4‑T78N‑R1W, to the Muscatine‑Cedar County line at a point approximately 400 feet east of the N ¼ Corner Section 4‑T78N‑R1W, Muscatine County (S ¼ Corner Section 33‑T79N‑R1W, Cedar County).

Beginning again on the Muscatine‑Scott County line at a point approximately 250 feet east of the N ¼ Corner of Section 6‑T78N‑R1E, Muscatine County (S ¼ Corner of Section 31‑T79N‑R1E, Scott County); thence easterly along the Muscatine‑Scott County line following substantially the section line of Sections 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1‑T78N‑R1E to the Muscatine‑Scott County line at a point near the NE Corner of Section 1‑T78N‑R1E, Muscatine County (SE Corner of Section 36‑T79N‑R1E, Scott County).

DISCUSSION/BACK&ROUND:

Due to the relocation of US 6 in Muscatine County, unsigned Iowa 927 has been created and its description should be officially included in the primary road system.

Unsigned Iowa 927 begins at a junction with US 6 and Iowa 38 in the City of Wilton and proceeds northeasterly to the Muscatine‑Cedar County line approximately three miles east of the City of Wilton; beginning again on the Muscatine‑Scott County line approximately one mile east of the City of Durant and proceeds easterly to the City of Walcott at the Muscatine‑Scott County line.

PROPOSAL ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve including the attached description of Unsigned Iowa 927 in Muscatine County in the primary road system.

Locate Unsigned Iowa 927 and its extension in Muscatine County as follows:

Wilton:

Beginning on an unnamed street at US 6 and Iowa 38; thence easterly to the east corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.

Beginning again on the east corporation line of the City of Wilton, connecting with an unnamed street; thence northeasterly along the north side of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway and substantially parallel thereto, through Sections 6, 5 and 4‑T78‑R1W, to the Muscatine‑Cedar County line at a point approximately 400 feet east of the N ¼ Corner Section 4‑T78‑R1W, Muscatine County (S ¼ Corner Section 33-T79‑R1W, Cedar County).
