Beginning on the Monona‑Woodbury County line at a point approximately 600 feet west of the N ¼ Corner Section 6‑T85N‑R43W, Monona County (S ¼ Corner Section 31‑T86N‑R43W, Woodbury County); thence in a southeasterly direction through Sections 6, 5, 4, 9, 10, 11 and 14‑T85N‑R43W to a point approximately ¼ mile north and 1,000 feet east of the S ¼ Corner Section 14‑T85N‑R43W; thence easterly through Sections 14 and 13‑T85N‑R43W to the west corporation line of Mapleton, connecting with an unnamed street.

Mapleton:

Beginning on an unnamed street at the west corporation line; thence easterly and southerly on an unnamed street to 4th Street; thence southerly on 4th Street to the south corporation line.

Beginning again on the south corporation line of Mapleton, connecting with 4th Street; thence in a southeasterly direction through Sections 24 and 25‑T85N‑R43W and Sections 30, 29, 32, 33 and 34‑T85N‑R42W and Section 3‑T84N‑R42W to a point approximately 420 feet south of the NE Corner of Section 3‑T84N‑R42W; thence in a southerly direction, following substantially the section lines of Sections 2, 11, 14, 23 and 26‑T84N‑R42W to the west corporation line of Ute, connecting with an unnamed street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 141 in Monona County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

Iowa 141 begins on the Monona‑Woodbury County line approximately 3 miles east of Rodney and travels southeasterly via Mapleton and Ute, to the Monona‑Crawford County line approximately 1 ¼ miles east of Ute, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 141 and its extensions in Monona County as follows:

Beginning on the Monona‑Woodbury County line at a point approximately 600 feet west of the N ¼ Corner Section 6‑T85N‑R43W, Monona County (S ¼ Corner Section 31‑T83N-R43W, Woodbury County) thence in a southeasterly direction through Sections 6, 5, 4, 9, 10, 11 and 14‑T85N-R43W to a point approximately ¼ mile north and 1000 feet east of the S ¼ Corner Section 14‑T85N‑R43W; thence easterly through Sections 14 and 13‑T85N‑R43W to the west corporation line of the City of Mapleton, connecting with an unnamed street.

Beginning at the west corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence easterly and southerly to the south corporation line, connecting with an unnamed street.
