Transfer of
jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑964‑0 (2)‑‑2M‑63
between the Iowa Department of Transportation, the City of Knoxville and
Marion County transferred that portion of Unsigned Iowa 964 from a junction
with Unsigned Iowa 975 in Knoxville easterly and southeasterly to a point of
intersection with Iowa 92 to city and county jurisdiction on November 24, 1986.
To maintain
continuity in the Iowa Route Numbering System, Unsigned Iowa 975 should be
re-designated as a portion of Unsigned Iowa 964 and the official description of
Unsigned Iowa 975 should be deleted from the primary road system to reflect
this re-designation.
