TITLE:  Iowa 316, Marion County

 

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑000‑0 (2), between Marion County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ­-000‑0 (1), between Warren County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, trans­ferred the county road from Iowa 5 near the SW Corner Section 30‑T77N‑R21W north along the Marion‑Warren County line approximately two and one‑half miles to state jurisdiction on January 12, 1981. The road section is now designated Iowa 316.

 

Iowa 316 begins at Iowa 5 on the Marion‑Warren County line approximately four miles northwest of the City of Pleasantville, and travels northerly along the Marion-Warren County line approximately two miles.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended the commission approve including the attached description of Iowa 316 in Marion County in the primary road system.

 

Locate Iowa 316 in Marion County as follows:

 

Beginning on the Marion‑Warren County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 30‑T77N‑R21W (junction Iowa 5); thence north along the Marion‑Warren County line following substantially the section line of Sections 30, 19, and 18‑T77N‑R21W to a point approximately 2800 feet north of the SW Corner Section 18‑T77N‑R21W.
