These are corrections to the beginning and ending location at the Jasper and Mahaska County lines. This will correlate the beginning and ending locations in Marion County with the ending location in Jasper County and the beginning location in Mahaska County.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 163 in Marion County be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description, as described in the attachment, be included in the Primary Road System.

Due to relocation of Iowa 163 in Marion County in 1994, the official description in the Primary Road System should be revised to reflect this change.

At the same time the old section of Iowa 163 became Unsigned Iowa 968.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 163 in Marion County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 163 begins on the Marion‑Jasper County line approximately 10 ¾ miles northwest of Pella, Iowa and travels southeasterly via Pella to the Marion‑Mahaska County line approximately 13 miles southeast of Pella, Iowa.

Locate Iowa 163 and its extension in Marion County as follows:
