Beginning on the Mahaska‑Marion County line at a point approximately 1,100 feet north of the SW Corner Section 7‑T75N‑R17W, Mahaska County (SE Corner Section 12‑T75N‑R18W, Marion County); thence southeasterly through Sections 7, 8, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, and 24‑T75N‑R17W and in a southeasterly and northeasterly direction through Sections 19, 20, 21, and 22‑T75N‑R16W to a point near the N ¼ Corner Section 22‑T75N‑R16W; thence northeasterly and easterly through Sections 15 and 14‑T75N‑R16W (junction Iowa 163) to the west corporation line of Oskaloosa connecting with "A" Avenue West.

Oskaloosa:

Beginning on "A" Avenue West at the west corporation line; thence east on "A" Avenue West to "A" Avenue East; thence east on "A" Avenue East to the east corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to its relocation, Iowa 92 in Mahaska County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included in the primary road system.

Iowa 92 begins on the Mahaska‑Marion County line approximately eleven miles west of the City of Oskaloosa and proceeds easterly via the City of Oskaloosa to the Mahaska‑Keokuk County line approximately twelve miles east of the City of Oskaloosa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of Iowa 92 in Mahaska County from the primary road system and approve including the attached new description of Iowa 92 in the primary road system.

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 92 in Mahaska County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
