TITLE: Unsigned Iowa 921, Linn County

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑921‑0 (2)‑‑2M‑57 between the city of Hiawatha and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred unsigned Iowa 921 on Center Point Road from the south corporation line northwesterly to the north corporation line to city jurisdiction on August 29, 1985.

Unsigned Iowa 921 begins on Center Point Road at the south corporation line of Hiawatha and travels northwesterly on Center Point Road to the north corporation line of Hiawatha.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to delete the description of unsigned Iowa 921 in Linn County from the Primary Road System.

Old Description ‑ Unsigned Iowa 921 in Linn County described as follows:

Hiawatha:

Beginning on Center Point Road at the south corporation line; thence northwesterly and northerly on Center Point Road to the north corporation line.

TITLE: Unsigned Iowa 921, Linn County

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Interstate 380 was opened to traffic to an interchange with Iowa 101 north of Urbana August 14, 1984. In conjunction with this opening Iowa 101 in Benton County was re-designated as Iowa 150. The portion of old Iowa 150 in Hiawatha from the south corporation line northwesterly to the north corporation line should be re-designated as unsigned Iowa 921 and its description should be added to the Primary Road System to reflect this re-designation.

Unsigned Iowa 921 begins on Center Point Road at the south corporation line of Hiawatha and travels northwesterly on Center Point Road to the north corporation line of Hiawatha.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve adding the description of unsigned Iowa 921 in Linn County to the Primary Road System.
