DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Iowa 13 begins at US 30 approximately four miles east of the City of Cedar Rapids, and travels generally northerly via the Cities of Marion, Central City and Coggon to the Linn-Delaware County line approximately three miles northeast of the City of Coggon.

 

The official description for Iowa 13 in Linn County was found to be incorrect in our official records.  The existing description should be replaced with the corrected version.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended to approve deleting the present description of Iowa 13 in Linn County from the primary road system and approve including the attached new description of Iowa 13 in the primary road system.

NOTE: In accordance with Section 313.2 Code of Iowa the following described sections of old Iowa 13 will revert to the Linn County Secondary Road System Station 636+55 to Station 667+82 and Station 721+12 to Station 726+10.  Also in accordance with agreement #72‑6‑218, the old extension of Iowa 13 in Central City (Marion Road from the south corporation line to the north corporation line) will revert to the local street system of Central City.

 

To become effec­tive upon adoption of this resolution.
