TITLE: Iowa 304, Keokuk County

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 304 begins at a junction with Iowa 78 approximately one mile south of the City of Ollie and proceeds northerly to the City of Ollie.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑304‑0 (1)‑‑2M‑54, between Keokuk County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Iowa 304 from a junction with Iowa 78 near the S ¼ Corner Section 26‑T74N‑R11W north to the south corporation line of the City of Ollie to county jurisdiction on July 1, 1980.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑304‑0 (2)‑‑2M‑54, between the City of Ollie and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Iowa 304 from the south corporation line north and west to Third Street to city jurisdiction on July 1, 1980.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the attached description of Iowa 304 in Keokuk County from the primary road system.

Remove Iowa 304 and its extension in Keokuk County as follows:

Beginning near the S ¼ Corner Section 26-T74N-R11W (junction Iowa 78); thence northerly following substantially the center section line said Section 26 to the south corporation line of the City of Ollie, connecting with an unnamed street.

Ollie:

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly to Third Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records Iowa 304 in Keokuk County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 304 in Keokuk County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Iowa 304 and its extension in Keokuk County as follows:

Beginning near the S ¼ Corner Section 26‑T74N‑R11W (junction Iowa 78); thence northerly following substantially the center section line said Section 26 to the south corporation line of the City of Ollie, connecting with an unnamed street.

Ollie:

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly to Third Street.
