Keswick:

 

Beginning on Y Street at the west corporation line; thence east on Y Street to Iron Street; thence south on Iron Street to the south corporation line.

 

Beginning again on the south corporation line of Keswick connecting with Iron Street; thence south following substantially the section line of Section 27‑T77N‑R12W to a point approximately 1,000 feet north of the SW Corner of said Section 27; thence curving southeasterly to a point approximately 1,000 feet east of the SW Corner Section 27‑T77N‑R12W; thence easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 34, 35, and 36‑T77N‑R12W to the west corporation line of Webster connecting with Washington Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

The official description for Iowa 22 in Keokuk County was found to be incorrect in our official records.  The existing description should be replaced with the corrected version.

 

Iowa 22 begins at the junction Iowa 21, 1 mile west of Thornburg and travels in an easterly direction to the Keokuk‑Washington County line approx­imately 2 miles east of Kinross via the cities of Keswick, Webster, South English, and Kinross, Iowa.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended to approve deleting the present description of Iowa 22 in Keokuk County from the primary road system and approve including the attached new description of Iowa 22 in the primary road system.
