DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Iowa 405 begins in the City of Lone Tree and travels north approximately one‑half
mile to Iowa
22 near the NW Corner Section 10‑T77N‑R5W.
Transfer of
jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑405‑0 (3), between the City of
Lone Tree and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion
of Iowa 405 from approximately 200 feet north of Commercial Street north to the
north corporation line approximately 1,050 feet south of the NW Corner Section
10‑T77N‑R5W to city jurisdiction on October 1, 1980.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It is
recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of Iowa 405 in Johnson
County from the primary road system
and approve including the attached new description of Iowa 405 in the primary road system.
Locate Iowa 405 in Johnson
County as follows:
Beginning
on the north corporation line of the City of Lone Tree
connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly following substantially the
section line Section 10‑T77N‑R5W to a point near the NW Corner said
Section 10 (junction Iowa
22).

Due to a
review of our Primary Road System records Iowa
405 in Johnson County should be deleted and the new
description added should be officially included into the Primary System.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It is
recommended that the old description of Iowa
405 in Johnson County be deleted and the new description,
as referred in the attached detailed description, be
included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this
resolution.
Locate Iowa 405 and its extension in Johnson County
as follows:

Beginning on
an unnamed street at Station 526+80 (north side of former railroad tracks);
thence northerly to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed
street.
