DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 22 in Johnson County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System:

Iowa 22 begins at the Johnson‑Washington County line approximately 4 miles west of Lone Tree and travels in an easterly direction to the Johnson‑Muscatine County line approximately 3 miles east of Lone Tree, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 22 in Johnson County, Iowa, as follows:

Beginning on the Johnson‑Washington County line at a point approximately 500 feet east of the N ¼ Corner of Section 11‑T77N‑R6W; thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 11 and 12‑T77N‑R6W and Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12‑T77N‑R5W to the Johnson‑Muscatine County line at a point near the NE Corner Section 12‑T77N‑R5W, Johnson County (NW Corner Section 7‑T77N‑R4W, Muscatine County).

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 22, Johnson County, Iowa.

NOTE: To become effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

NOTE: Designation to become effective upon the completion and opening to traffic of Relocated Iowa 22, more specifically Johnson‑Muscatine County Project F‑956.
