DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 14 in Jasper County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 14 begins on the Jasper‑Marion County line just south of Monroe and travels northeasterly and northerly to the Jasper‑Marshall County line approximately 8 miles west of the NE Corner of Jasper County via the cities of Monroe, Lambs Grove, and Newton, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 14 and its extensions in Jasper County, Iowa as follows:

Beginning on the Jasper‑Marion County line at a point near the SE Corner of Section 36‑T78N‑R20W Jasper County (NE Corner of Section 1‑T77N‑R20W Marion County); thence north in Section 36‑T78N‑R20W to the south corporation line of the City of Monroe connecting with unnamed street.

NOTE: The following sections of old Iowa 14 and new connections will revert to the Jasper County Secondary Road System in accordance with Section 313.2 Code of Iowa; south ROW line of E‑W County Road on north line of Section 30‑T78N‑R19W to Station 237+00; Station 7225+35.01 to Station 7230+47.66 (New Connection); Station 412+50 to the NE Corner NWNE Section 29‑T79N‑R19W; Station 14517+35.25 to 14510+34.28 (New Connection) to become effective upon adoption of this resolution.
