north corporation line of Sabula connecting with Broad Street.

Beginning on Broad Street at the north corporation
line; thence southeast on Broad
Street to Sycamore Street; thence westerly on Sycamore Street to
the west corporation line.
Beginning again on the west corporation line of
Sabula connecting with Sycamore Street; thence in a westerly and northwesterly
direction through Sections 19 (junction of US 67 and west junction of Iowa 64)
and 18‑T84N‑R7E to a point approximately ¼ mile north of the SW
Corner of Section 18‑T84N‑R7E: then north following substantially
the section line of Sections 18 and 7‑T84N‑R7E to a point
approximately ¼ mile north of the SW Corner Section 7‑T84N‑R7E;

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Due
to a review of our Primary Road System records, US 52 in Jackson County should
be deleted from the Primary System and the new description added should be
officially included into the Primary Road System.
US
52 begins on the Iowa‑Illinois State line approximately 2 miles north of
Sabula, Iowa and travels northwesterly via Sabula, Bellevue and St. Donatus,
Iowa to the Jackson‑Dubuque County line approximately 2 miles northwest
of St. Donatus, Iowa.

RECOMMENDATION:
Locate
US 52 and its extensions in Jackson County, Iowa as follows:
Beginning
on the Iowa‑Illinois State line at a point near the NE Corner Section 8‑T34N‑R7E;
thence in a westerly and southerly direction through Sections 8 and 17‑T84N‑R7E
to the north corporation line of the City of Sabula connecting with an unnamed
street.
