Senate File 451 transferred Iowa 419 in its entirety, in Iowa County, to city and county jurisdiction on July 1, 2003.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records Iowa 419 in Iowa County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 419 in Iowa County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

 

Locate Iowa 419 and its extension in Iowa County as follows:

 

Victor:

 

Beginning on the Iowa‑Poweshiek County line at Third Street; thence north on said county line to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Beginning on the north corporation line of the City of Victor connecting with an unnamed street on the Iowa‑Poweshiek County line; thence north along said county line following substantially the section line of Sections 19 and 18‑T80N‑R12W to a point approximately 500 feet south of the NW Corner Section 18‑T80N‑R12W (Junction US 6).

Beginning on the north corporation line of the Town of Victor on the Iowa‑Poweshiek County line at a point approximately 300 feet north of the SW Corner Section 18‑T80N‑R12W; thence north along said county line to a point approximately 500 feet south of the NW Corner Section 18-T80N-R12W.

 

NOTE:  To become effective upon completion of grading, temporary surfacing, and opening to traffic of Relocated Iowa 21, more specifically Poweshiek County Project F-1032.
