Ida Grove:

Beginning on Ohio Street at the east corporation line; thence northwest and westerly on Ohio Street to the west corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, US 59 in Ida County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

US 59 begins at the Ida‑Crawford County line approximately 10 miles southeast of Ida Grove and travels northwesterly to the Ida‑Cherokee County line, via cities of Ida Grove and Holstein, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate US 59 and its extensions in Ida County as follows:

Beginning on the Ida‑Crawford County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 31‑T86N‑R39W, Ida County (NW Corner Section 6‑T85N‑R39W, Crawford County); thence northerly following substantially the section line of Sections 31, 30, 19, 13, 7, and 6‑T86N‑R39W and Sections 31, 30, and 19‑T87N‑R39W to a point near the W ¼ Corner Section 19‑T87N‑R39W (east junction of Iowa 175); thence northwesterly through Sections 24 and 13‑T87N‑R40W to the east corporation line of the City of Ida Grove, connecting with an unnamed street.
