DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑943‑0 (1) ‑‑2M‑47 between the Iowa Department of Transportation and Galva transferred Unsigned Iowa 943 to city jurisdiction on January 20, 1987. The official description of Unsigned Iowa 943 should be deleted from the Primary Road System to reflect this transfer.

Unsigned Iowa 943 begins on Main Street at the south corporation line of Galva and travels north on Main Street to 1st Street.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve deleting the description of Unsigned Iowa 943 in Ida County from the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑328‑0 (4), between the Iowa Department of Transportation and Ida County, transferred the portion of Iowa 328 from a junction with US 20 north to the south corporation line of the City of Galva to county jurisdiction on December 19, 1980. The remaining portion of Iowa 328 in the City of Galva should be re-designated as Unsigned Iowa 943 and its description officially included in the primary road system.

Unsigned Iowa 943 begins at the south corporation line of the City of Galva and proceeds northerly to First Street in the City of Galva.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve including the attached description of Unsigned Iowa 943 in Ida County in the primary road system.

Locate Unsigned Iowa 943 in Ida County as follows:

Galva:

Beginning on the south corporation line, connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly to First Street.
