Beginning at the Hardin‑Hamilton County line at a point near the NW Corner of Section 31‑T87N‑R22W, Hardin County (NE Corner Section 36‑T87N-R23W, Hamilton County); thence east following substantially the Section line of Sections 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35‑T87N‑R22W to a point near the NE Corner Section 35‑T87N‑R22W; thence in an easterly direction through the north part of Section 36‑T87N‑R22W and Sections 31 and 32‑T87N‑R21W to the west corporation line of Hubbard, connecting with an unnamed street.

Hubbard:

Beginning on an unnamed street at the west corporation line; thence southeast on unnamed street to an unnamed street (junction US 65); thence north on unnamed street to the north corporation line.

Beginning again on the north corporation line of Hubbard connecting with an unnamed street; thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 28, 21, 16, and 9‑T87N‑R21W to a point approximately 1,000 feet south of the W ¼ Corner Section 9‑T87N‑R21W; thence curving in a northeasterly direction to a point approximately 1,000 feet east of the W ¼ Corner Section 9‑T87N‑R21W; thence east following substantially the center section line of Sections 9, 10, 11 (north junction of US 65) and 12‑T87N‑R21W and Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12‑T87N‑R21W to the west corporation line of Eldora connecting with Edgington Avenue.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 175 in Hardin County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 175 begins on the Hardin‑Hamilton County line 1 mile west of Radcliffe and travels in a generally easterly direction to the Hardin-Grundy County line 4 miles east of Eldora, via the Cities of Hubbard and Eldora, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 175 and its extensions in Hardin County as follows:

Beginning at the Hardin‑Hamilton County line at a point near the NW Corner of Section 31‑T87N‑R22W, Hardin County (NE Corner Section 36‑T87N‑R23W, Hamilton County); thence easterly following substantially the Section line of Sections 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35‑T87N‑R22W to a point near the NE Corner Section 35‑T87N‑R22W; thence in an easterly direction through the north part of Section 36‑T87N‑R22W and Section 31 and 32‑T87N‑R21W to the west corporation line of the City of Hubbard, connecting with an unnamed street.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 175 in Hardin County.

NOTE: To become effective upon adoption of this resolution.
