DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Interstate 35 located in Hamilton County should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate Interstate 35 in Hamilton County as follows:

 

Beginning on the Hamilton‑Story County line near the S ¼ Corner of Section 31‑T86N‑R23W, Hamilton County (N ¼ Corner Section 6‑T85N‑R23W, Story County); thence in a northerly direction following substantially the quarter section line through Sections 31, 30, 19, 18, 7 and 6‑T86N‑R23W; thence continuing northerly through Sections 31, 30, 19, 18, 7 and 6‑T87N‑R23W; thence continuing northerly through Sections 31, 30, 19, 18, 7 and 6‑T88N‑R23W; thence continuing northerly through Sections 33, 28, 21, 16, 9 and 4 to a point near the center of Section 4‑T89N‑R23W; thence northeasterly to the Hamilton‑Wright County line at a point approximately 2495 feet west of the NE Corner of Section 4‑T89N‑R23W, Hamilton County (SE Corner of Section 33‑T90N‑R23W, Wright County).

 

NOW, THEREFORE:  Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Interstate 35 in Hamilton County, Iowa.

 

NOTE: To become effective upon adoption of this resolution.
