DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our primary road records, the official description of Iowa 175 in Grundy County should be revised. The geographic location of Iowa 175 in Grundy County remains unchanged.

Iowa 175 begins on the Grundy‑Hardin County line approximately 11 miles west of Grundy Center and travels easterly, via Grundy Center, Morrison and Reinbeck to the Grundy‑Black Hawk County line approximately 2 ¾ miles east of Reinbeck.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve revising the description of Iowa 175 in Grundy County and including the new description in the primary road system.

New description ‑ Iowa 175 and its extensions in Grundy County described as follows:

Beginning at the Grundy‑Hardin County line at a point near the NW Corner Section 18‑T87N‑R18W, Grundy County (NE Corner Section 13‑T87N‑R19W, Hardin County); thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 18, 17, 16, 15, 14 (west junction of Iowa 14) and 13‑T87N‑R18W and Sections 18, 17 and 16‑T87N‑R17W to a point approximately 1,000 feet east of the NW Corner Section 16‑T87N‑R17W; thence northeast through Section 9‑T87N‑R17W to a point approximately 1,400 feet west of the E ¼ Corner Section 9‑T87N‑R17W; thence east following substantially the center section line of Sections 9, 10 and 11‑T87N‑R17W to the west corporation line of Grundy Center connecting with "G" Avenue.

Grundy Center:

Beginning on "G" Avenue at the west corporation line; thence east on "G" Avenue to an unnamed street; thence southeast on unnamed street to the east corporation line.

Beginning again at the east corporation line of Grundy Center connecting with an unnamed street. Then in a southeasterly direction through Section 8‑T87N‑R16W to a point approximately 1,200 feet east of the west line of Section 8‑T87N‑R16W; thence east and southeast through Sections 8, 9, 16, 15 and 14‑T87N‑R16W to the west corporation line of Morrison connecting with an unnamed street.

Morrison:

Beginning on an unnamed street at the west corporation line; thence southeast on unnamed street to the east corporation line.

Beginning again at the east corporation line of Morrison connecting with an unnamed street; thence southeast through Sections 13 and 24‑T87N‑R16W and Sections 19 and 20‑T87N‑R15W to a point approximately ¼ mile west of the NE Corner Section 29‑T87N‑R15W; thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 29 and 28‑T87N‑R15W to the west corporation line of Reinbeck connecting with Grundy Avenue.

Reinbeck:

Beginning on Grundy Avenue at the west corporation line; thence east on Grundy Avenue to the east corporation line.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 175 in Grundy County, Iowa should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.
