New Description ‑ Iowa 147 and its extensions in Floyd County described as follows:

Rockford:

Beginning on Main Avenue at 4th Street Northeast; thence east on Main Avenue to the east corporation line.

Beginning again at the east corporation line of Rockford connecting with Main Avenue; thence easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 14 and 13‑T95N‑R18W and Sections 18, 17, 16, 15, and 14‑T95N‑R17W to a point near the NE Corner of Section 14‑T95N‑R17W (junction of Iowa 14).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 147 in Floyd County, Iowa should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

Iowa 147 begins in Rockford and travels easterly terminating at the junction Iowa 14 approximately 6 ½ miles west of Charles City, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 147 and its extension in Floyd County as follows:

Rockford:

Beginning at the west line of River Street; thence easterly to the east corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.

Beginning again at the east corporation line of the City of Rockford connecting with an unnamed street; thence easterly following substantially the section line of Sections 14 and 13‑T95N‑R18W and Sections 18, 17, 16 15, and 14‑T95N‑R17W to a point rear the NE Corner of Section 14‑T95N-R17W (junction of Iowa 14).

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 147 in Floyd County, Iowa.

NOTE: To become effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
