New Description ‑ Iowa 93 and its extensions in Fayette County described as follows:

 

Beginning at the Fayette‑Bremer County line (west corporation line of Sumner) connecting with 1st Street, at a point near the NW Corner of Section 30‑T93N‑R10W, Fayette County (NE Corner of Section 25‑T93N‑R11W, Bremer County); thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 25‑T93N‑R10W and Sections 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, and 25‑T93N‑R9W to a point near the NE Corner of Section 25-T93N-R9W; thence in a southeasterly and easterly direction through the north part of Sections 30 and 29‑T93N‑R8W to the west corporation line of Fayette connecting with Water Street.

 

Fayette:

 

Beginning at the west corporation line connecting with Water Street; thence east on Water Street approximately a mile to the junction with Iowa 150.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 93 in Fayette County, Iowa should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

Iowa 93 begins at the Fayette‑Bremer County line on the east corporation line of Sumner, and travels easterly terminating in the City of Fayette, Iowa.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate Iowa 93 and its extension in Fayette County as follows:

 

Beginning at the Fayette‑Bremer County line (east corporation line of the City of Sumner) connecting with an unnamed street, at a point near the NW Corner of Section 30‑T93N‑R10W, Fayette County (NE Corner of Section 25‑T93N‑R11W, Bremer County); thence east following substantially the section line of Sections 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 25‑T93N‑R10W and Sections 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, and 25‑T93N‑R9W to a point near the NE Corner of Section 25‑T93N‑R9W; thence in a southeasterly and easterly direction through the north part of Sections 30 and 29‑T93N‑R8W to the west corporation line of the City of Fayette connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Fayette:

 

Beginning at the west corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence easterly to Pine Street (junction Iowa 150).

 

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 93 in Fayette County, Iowa.

 

NOTE:  To become effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
