DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Transfer of jurisdiction
agreement number TJ‑190‑2 (2)‑‑2M‑10, between
Buchanan County and the Iowa Department of Transportation and transfer of
jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑281‑0 (2)‑‑2M‑10,
between the City of Fairbank and the Iowa Department
of Transportation, extended Iowa 281 to the beginning of Iowa 190 in the City
of Fairbank. To maintain continuity in the
Iowa 281
begins on the Fayette‑Buchanan County line approximately one mile east of
the City of Fairbank and proceeds easterly along the
Fayette‑Buchanan county line to junction with Iowa 150 approximately one
and one‑quarter miles south of the City of Oelwein.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It is
recommended the commission approve including the attached description of
Locate
Beginning at
the Fayette‑Buchanan County line at a point approximately 400 feet east
of the SW Corner of Section 34‑T91N‑R10W, Fayette County (NW Corner
of Section 3‑T90N‑R10W, Buchanan County); thence east along the
Fayette‑Buchanan County line (see Buchanan County) to a point
approximately 300 feet west of the SW Corner SE ¼ SE ¼ Section 33‑T91N‑R9W,
Fayette County (junction Iowa 150) (NW Corner NE ¼ NE ¼ Section 4‑T90N‑R9W,
Buchanan County).
