DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 267 begins at a junction with Iowa 93 approximately three and one‑half miles west of the City of Fayette and travels northerly to the City of Randalia.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑267‑0 (2)‑‑2M‑33, between Fayette County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Iowa 267 from a junction with Iowa 93 near the SW Corner Section 23‑T93N‑R9W northerly to the south corporation line of the City of Randalia to county jurisdiction on July 1, 1980.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑267‑0 (2)‑‑2M‑33 between Fayette County and the Iowa Department of Transportation and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑267‑0 (3)‑‑2M-33 between the City of Randalia and the Iowa Department of Transportation, that portion of Iowa 267 along the east corporation line of the City of Randalia from the south corporation line northerly to a point near the NW Corner Section 23‑T93N‑R9W to local jurisdiction on July 1, 1980.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑267‑0 (3)‑‑2M‑33, between the City of Randalia and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Iowa 267 from the east corporation line of the City of Randalia at a point near the NW Corner Section 23‑T93N‑R9W, westerly and northerly to Oak Street to city jurisdiction on July 1, 1980.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the attached description of Iowa 267 in Fayette County from the primary road system.

Remove Iowa 267 and its extension in Fayette County as follows:

Beginning at a point near the SW Corner Section 23‑T93N‑R9W (junction Iowa 93); thence northerly following substantially the section line said Section 23 to the east corporation line of the City of Randalia connecting with an unnamed street.

Randalia:

Beginning on the east corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence westerly and northerly to Oak Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records Iowa 267 in Fayette County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 267 in Fayette County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Iowa 267 and its extension in Fayette County as follows:

Beginning at a point near the SW Corner of Section 23‑T93N‑R9W (junction Iowa 93); thence northerly following substantially the section line said Section 23 to the east corporation line of the City of Randalia connecting with an unnamed street.

Randalia:

Beginning on the east corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence westerly and northerly to Oak Street.
