DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Iowa 394 begins at the Des Moines‑Lee County line approximately nine miles southwest of the City of Burlington and proceeds northerly to the Iowa Ordnance Plant.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑394‑0 (4)‑‑2M‑29, between Des Moines County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred Iowa 394 from Des Moines‑Lee County line north to the Iowa Ordnance Plant to county jurisdiction on July 28, 1980.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the attached description of Iowa 394 in Des Moines County from the primary road system.

 

Remove Iowa 394 in Des Moines County as follows:

 

Beginning in the NW ¼ Section 25‑T69N‑R4W at the Des Moines‑Lee County line (Skunk River); thence northerly through Sections 25 and 24‑T69N‑R4W to the south gate of the Iowa Ordnance Plant.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records Iowa 394 in Des Moines County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 394 in Des Moines County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

 

Locate Iowa 394 in Des Moines County as follows:

 

Beginning in the NW ¼ Section 25‑T69N‑R4W at the Des Moines‑Lee County line (Skunk River); thence northerly through Sections 25 and 24‑T69N‑R4W to the south gate of the Iowa Ordnance Plant.
