DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 45 begins on Main Street at the intersection of 6th Street in the City of Manilla; thence travels West on Main Street to 3rd Street; thence northeast on 3rd Street to the north corporation line; thence travels northeasterly approximately 0.75 mile northeast of the City of Manilla to a junction with Iowa 141.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑45‑1 (2) ‑‑2M‑24 transfers that portion of Iowa 45 (0.21 mile) in the City of Manilla from the intersection of Main Street and 6th Street west to 3rd Street to City Jurisdiction. The official description of Iowa 45 should be revised to reflect this change. The remainder of Iowa 45 in Crawford County remains unchanged.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve deleting the present description of Iowa 45 in Crawford County from the primary road system and approve including the attached new description of Iowa 45 in the primary road system.

Locate Iowa 45 and its extension in Crawford County as follows:

Manilla:

Beginning on 3rd Street at the intersection of Main Street; thence northeast on 3rd Street to the north corporation line.

Beginning again on the north corporation line of Manilla connecting with 3rd Street then in a northeasterly direction through Sections 23, 24 and Section 23‑T82N‑R38W to a point approximately 500 feet west of the NE corner of Section 23‑T82N‑R38W (junction Iowa 141).

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records, Iowa 45 in Crawford County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 45 in Crawford County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Beginning on an unnamed street at the east line of Sixth Street; thence westerly, northerly, and northeasterly to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.
