DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

US 67 begins at the Clinton‑Scott County line approximately five (5) miles southwest of the City of Camanche and travels in a northeasterly and northerly direction via Camanche and Clinton to the Clinton‑Jackson County line approximately nine (9) miles north of the City of Clinton.

The relocation of US 67 in the Camanche area was completed and opened to traffic on June 17, 1982. Agreements number 77‑A‑165 and 83‑A‑001 have been fulfilled and the old alignment of US 67 was transferred to the Camanche City Street System on December 23, 1982. The official description of US 67 in Clinton County should be revised to reflect this change of alignment. The remainder of US 67 in Clinton County remains unchanged.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve deleting the present description of US 67 in Clinton County from the primary road system and approve including the attached new description of US 67 in the primary road system.
