DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Approval of this
order is necessary for completion of action for reversion of that portion of Iowa 291 from the north corporation line of the City of Low Moore north to the
junction with US 30 near the NW Corner Section 23‑T81N‑R5E, to the
County Road System. This is in
accordance with a resolution between Clinton
County and the Iowa DOT
executed by Staff on January 27, 1979 order number S‑78‑726.
Approval of
this order is also necessary for completion of action for reversion of that
portion of Iowa 291 beginning on an unnamed street at Third Avenue North to the
north corporation line of the City of Low Moor, to the city street system. This is in accordance with a letter dated
December 21, 1978, to the Mayor of the City of Low Moor
from the Office of Urban Systems notifying him of the removal of Iowa 291 from the Iowa
Primary Road System.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
Request
authorization to delete Iowa 291 in Clinton County from the Primary Road System.
Remove Iowa 291 and its extension in Clinton County
as follows:
Low Moor:
Beginning on
an unnamed street at Third Avenue;
thence northerly to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed
street.
Beginning
on the north corporation line of the City of Low Moor
connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly following substantially the
section line of Section 23‑T81N‑R5E to a point near the NW Corner
said Section 23 (junction US
30).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Due to a
review of our Primary Road System records Iowa
291 in Clinton County should be deleted and the new description
added should be officially included into the Primary System.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It is
recommended that the old description of Iowa
291 in Clinton County be deleted and the new
description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the
adoption of this resolution.
