New Description ‑ Iowa 340 and its extension in Clayton County described as follows:

Beginning in the SW ¼ Section 35‑T95N‑R3W at the west entrance to Pikes Peak State Park; thence in a southwesterly and westerly direction through said Section 35 to a point a short distance north of the SE Corner Section 34‑T95N‑R3W; thence in a northwesterly and northerly direction through Sections 34 and 27‑T95N‑R3W to the south corporation line of McGregor connecting with Walton Street.

McGregor:

Beginning on Walton Street at the south corporation line; thence northwesterly and northeasterly on Walton Street to 7th Street; thence northwest on 7th Street to Main Street (junction US 18).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records Iowa 340 in Clayton County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 340 in Clayton County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

Locate Iowa 340 and its extension in Clayton County as follows:

Beginning in the SW ¼ Section 35‑T95N‑R3W at the west entrance to Pikes Peak State Park; thence in a southwesterly and westerly direction through said Section 35 to a point a short distance north of the SE Corner Section 34-T95N-R3W; thence in a northwesterly and northerly direction through Sections 34 and 27‑T95N‑R3W to the south corporation line of the City of McGregor connecting with an unnamed street.

McGregor:

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northeasterly and northwesterly to Main Street (junction US 18).
