DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ-13-0 (31)-22 between the Iowa Department of Transportation and Clayton County, transferred 0.13 of Old Iowa 13 in Section 9-T92N-R5W to Clayton County on October 1, 1986 and should be removed from the Primary Road System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the section of Old Iowa 13 in Section 9-T92N-R5W be deleted from the Primary Road System.

Iowa 13 begins at the Clayton‑Delaware County line approximately four miles southeast of the City of Strawberry Point, and travels generally northeasterly via the Cities of Strawberry Point and Elkader to US 52 approximately four miles northeast of the City of Farmersburg.

Due to a relocation of Iowa 13 in the Elkader area, the present description of Iowa 13 in Clayton County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included in the primary road system.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve deleting the present description of Iowa 13 in Clayton County from the primary road system and approve including the attached new description of Iowa 13 in the primary road system.
