DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 128 in Clayton County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

 

Iowa 128 begins at the junction of Iowa 13 approximately 2 miles northeast of Elkader, Iowa and travels easterly terminating at the junction of US 52 approximately 1 mile northwest of Garnavillo, Iowa.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate Iowa 128 in Clayton County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point approximately ¼ mile south and 800 feet east of the center of Section 12‑T93N‑R5W (junction Iowa 13); thence in a southeasterly direction through Section 12‑T93N‑R5W and Section 7‑T93N‑R4W to a point approximately 900 feet west of the S ¼ Corner Section 7‑T93N‑R4W; thence east following substantially the section line of Section 18 and 17‑T93N‑R4W to a point approximately 600 feet west of the S ¼ Corner Section 8‑T93N‑R4W; thence in a northeasterly and easterly direction through Sections 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12‑T93N‑R4W and in a southeasterly direction through Section 7‑T93N‑R3W to a point approximately 1500 feet east and 2000 feet north of the SW Corner Section 7‑T93N‑R3W (junction US 52).

 

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 128 in Clayton County, Iowa.

 

NOTE: To become effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
