Osceola:

Beginning at the south corporation line connecting with Main Street; thence north on Main Street to the north corporation line.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, US 69 in Clarke County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

US 69 begins at the Clarke‑Decatur County line approximately 1 ½ miles west of Weldon, Iowa and travels northerly and northeasterly through Osceola to the Clarke‑Warren County line approximately 12 miles northeast of Osceola, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate US 69 and its extension in Clarke County as follows:

Beginning at the Clarke‑Decatur County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 32‑T71N‑R25W, Clarke County (NW Corner Section 5‑T70N‑R25W, Decatur County); thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 32, 29, 20, 17, 8, and 5‑T71N‑R25W, continuing northerly along section line of Sections 32 and 29‑T72N‑R25W to a point approximately 1000 feet north of the SW Corner Section 29‑T72N‑R25W; thence in a northeasterly and northerly direction through Sections 29 and 20‑T72N‑R25W to the south corporation line of the City of Osceola connecting with an unnamed street.
