New Description – US 218 and its extensions in Chickasaw County described as follows:

 

Beginning at the Chickasaw-Bremer County line, on the S ¼ Corner of Section 31-T94N-R14W, Chickasaw County (N ¼ Corner of Section 6-T93N-R14W, Bremer County); thence in a northerly direction following substantially the center section line of Sections 31 and 30-T94N-R14W to the south corporation line of the City of Nashua (approximately N ¼ Corner Section 30-T94N-R14W).

 

Nashua:

 

Beginning on the south corporation line (approximately N ¼ Corner Section 30-T94N-R14W); thence northerly and northwesterly to the Chickasaw-Floyd County line at a point approximately 2260 feet south of the NW Corner of Section 18-T94N-R14W, Chickasaw County (SE Corner of Section 13-T94N-R15W, Floyd County).

Beginning at the Chickasaw-Bremer County line, on the south line of Section 31-T94N-R14W, Chickasaw County (north line of Section 6-T93N-R14W, Bremer County) at a point approximately 200 feet west of the Illinois Central Railroad; thence in a northerly direction through Sections 31 and 30-T94N-R14W to the south corporation line of the City of Nashua, connecting with Amherst Blvd (approximately N ¼ Corner Section 30-T94N-R14W).

 

Nashua:

 

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with Amherst Boulevard (approximately N ¼ Corner Section 30-T94N-R14W); thence northerly and northwesterly to the north corporation line (approximately 1570 feet east of the W ¼ Corner of Section 18-T94N-R14W).

 

Beginning again on the north corporation line of the City of Nashua, connecting with Amherst Boulevard (approximately 1570 feet east of the W ¼ Corner Section 18-T94N-R14W); thence in a northwesterly direction through Section 18-T94N-R14W to the Chickasaw-Floyd County line at a point near the NW Corner Section 18-T94N-R14W, Chickasaw County (NE Corner Section 13-T94N-R15W, Floyd County).

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of US 218 and its extensions in Chickasaw County be deleted and the new description be included in the Primary Road System.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records, US 218 in Chickasaw County should be deleted and the new description aided should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of US 218 in Chickasaw County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
