DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Iowa 393 begins in the City of Ionia and travels northerly to a junction with US 18 approximately two miles north of Ionia.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑393‑0 (1) ‑‑2M‑19, between Ionia and the Iowa Department of Transportation, approved April 4, 1980 transferred that portion of Iowa 393 beginning 699.7 feet west of Center Street, easterly and northerly to the north corporation line to the City of Ionia effective May 1, 1980.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑393‑0 (2) ‑‑2M‑19, between Chick­asaw County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, approved April 4, 1980 transferred that portion of Iowa 393 from the north corporation line of Ionia northerly to a junction with US 18 near the NW Corner Section 12‑T95N‑R14W to the Chickasaw County secondary road system effective May 1, 1980.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the description of Iowa 393 in Chickasaw County, as referred to in the attached detailed description, be deleted from the primary road system.

 

Remove Iowa 393 and its extension in Chickasaw County as follows:

 

Ionia:

 

Beginning on Main Street at a point 699.7 feet west of Center Street; thence easterly and northerly to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Beginning again on the north corporation line of the City of Ionia, connecting with an unnamed street; thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 13 and 12‑T95N‑R14W to a point near the NW Corner said Section 12 (junction US 18).

Locate Iowa 393 and its extension in Chickasaw County as follows:

Beginning again on the north corporation line of the City of Ionia, connect­ing with an unnamed street; thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 13 and 12‑T95N‑R14W to a point near the NW Corner said Section 12 (junction US 18).

 

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 393 in Chickasaw County, Iowa

Due to the review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 393 in Chickasaw County should be deleted from the Primary System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

 

Iowa 393 begins in Ionia, Iowa and travels northerly terminating at the junction of US 18 approximately 2 miles north of Ionia, Iowa.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate Iowa 393 and its extension in Chickasaw County as follows:

Beginning on Main Street at a point 699.7 feet west of Center Street; thence easterly and northerly to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.
