New description - Iowa 7 and its extensions in Cherokee County described as follows:

 

Beginning at a point near the NE Corner of Section 33‑T92N‑R39W (junction Iowa 3); thence south following substantially the section line of Section 34‑T92N‑R39W and Sections 3 and 10‑T91N‑R39W to the west corporation line of Aurelia, connecting with 1st Street.

 

Aurelia:

 

Beginning on 1st Street at the west corporation line; thence southeasterly on 1st Street to the east corporation line.

 

Beginning again at the east corporation line of Aurelia, connecting with 1st Street; thence in an easterly and south­easterly direction along the north side of the Illinois Central Railroad and substantially parallel thereto through Sections 11, 12, and 13‑T91N‑R39W, Cherokee County (west line of Section 18‑T91N‑R38W, Buena Vista County).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 7, in Cherokee County should be deleted and the new description should be officially included into the primary system.

 

Iowa 7 begins at the junction of Iowa 3 approxi­mately 2 miles north of Aurelia, Iowa and travels southerly and southwesterly, through Aurelia to the Cherokee‑Buena Vista County line approximately 2 miles southwest of Aurelia, Iowa.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate Iowa 7 and its extension in Cherokee County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point near the NE Corner of Section 33‑T92N‑R39W (junction Iowa 3); thence south following substantially the section line of Section 34‑T92N‑R39W and Sections 3 and 10-T91N‑R39W to the west corporation line of the City of Aurelia, connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Aurelia:

 

Beginning at the west corporation lime, connecting with an unnamed street; thence southeasterly to the east corporation line, connecting with an unnamed street.

 

Beginning again at the east corporation line of the City of Aurelia, connecting with an unnamed street; thence in an easterly and southeasterly direction along the north side of the Illinois Central Railroad and sub­stantially parallel thereto through Sections 11, 12, and 13‑T91N‑R39W, Cherokee County (west line of Section 18‑T91N‑R38W, Buena Vista County).

 

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 7 in Cherokee County, Iowa.

 

NOTE: To become effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
