DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Unsigned
Transfer
of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑979‑0 (6), between Cedar County
and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of Unsigned
Iowa 979 from the Cedar‑Johnson county line near the SW Corner Section 6‑T79N‑R4W
easterly to the west corporation line of the City of West Branch to county
jurisdiction on November 24, 1980.
Transfer

Iowa 979 from the east corporation line of the City of West Branch easterly to
Iowa 38 near the NE Corner Section 12‑T79N‑R3W to county
jurisdiction on November 24, 1980.

RECOMMENDATION:
It
is recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of Unsigned
Iowa 979 in

an unnamed street; thence easterly following substantially the section line of
Sections 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12‑T79N‑R4W and Sections 7, 8, and 9‑T79N‑R3W
to a point near the NW Corner Section 10‑T79N‑R3W; thence in a
southeasterly, northeasterly and easterly direction through the north part of
Sections 10 and 11‑T79N‑R3W to near the NE Corner said Section 11;
thence easterly following substantially the section line of Section 12‑T79N‑R3W
to near the NE Corner Section 12‑T79N‑R3W (junction Iowa 38).
