DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 326 begins at Iowa 3 approximately one and one‑half miles south of the City of Bristow, and travels generally northerly into the City of Bristow.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑326‑0 (3) between Butler County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, and transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑326‑0 (4) between the City of Bristow and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred Iowa 326 from Iowa 3 approximately one‑quarter mile east of the NW Corner Section 31-T92N‑R17W northerly and westerly to Church Street in the City of Bristow to local jurisdiction on November 11, 1981.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of Iowa 326 in Butler County from the primary road system.

Remove Iowa 326 and its extension in Butler County as follows:

Beginning at a point approximately ¼ mile east of the NW Corner Section 31‑T92N‑R17W (junction Iowa 3); thence north through the west part of Sections 30 and 19‑T92N‑R17W to the south corporation line of the City of Bristow connecting with an unnamed Street.

Bristow:

Beginning at the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly and westerly to Church Street.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa 326 in Butler County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System. Iowa 326 begins at the junction of Iowa 3 approximately 1½ miles south of Bristow and travels northerly into Bristow.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 326 and its extension in Butler County as follows:

Beginning at a point approximately ¼ mile east of the NW Corner Section 31-T92N‑R17W (junction Iowa 3); thence north through the west part of Sections 30 and 19-T92N‑R17W to the south corporation line of the City of Bristow connecting with an unnamed street.

Bristow:

Beginning at the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly and westerly to Church Street.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 326 in Butler County, Iowa.

NOTE: To be effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
