Beginning at the Buena Vista‑Sac County line at a point near the SW Corner of Section 36‑T90N‑R38W, Buena Vista County (NW Corner of Section 1‑T89N‑R38W, Sac County); thence north following sub­stantially the section line of Sections 36, 25, and 24‑T90N‑R38W to a point approximately 800 feet south of the NW Corner of Section 24‑T90N‑R38W; thence curving in a northeasterly direction to a point approximately 800 feet east of the NW Corner of Section 24-­T90N‑R38W; thence east following substantially the section line of Section 24‑T90N‑R38W, and Sections 19 and 20‑T90N‑R37W to a point approximately 900 feet west of the S ¼ Corner of Section 17‑T90N-R37W; thence northerly and northeasterly through Sections 17, 8 and 5‑T90N‑R37W to a point near the W ¼ Corner Section 4‑T90N-­R17W; thence northerly following substantially the section line said Section 4 to the south corporation line of Storm Lake con­necting with an unnamed street.

 

Storm Lake:

 

Beginning on an unnamed street at the south corporation line; thence northerly on an unnamed street to the north corporation line.

 

Beginning again at the north corporation line of Storm Lake connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly through Section 5‑T90N‑R37W and Section 33‑T91N‑R37W to a point approxi­mately 1600 feet north of the SW Corner Section 33‑T91N‑R37W (junction Iowa 7).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records, Iowa 110 in Buena Vista County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 110 in Buena Vista County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.


 

Locate Iowa 110 and its ­extension in Buena Vista County as follows:

Iowa 110 begins at the Buena Vista‑Sac County line approximately 2 miles south, 2 ½ miles west, and 3 miles south of Storm Lake and travels in a northerly, easterly, northerly, and northeasterly direction through Storm Lake intersecting with Iowa 7 just north of the corporation line of Storm Lake.

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 110 in Buena Vista County, Iowa.
