Due to the review of our Primary Road System records, US 218 in Black Hawk County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

 

US 218 begins at the Black Hawk‑Benton County line approximately ¼ mile south of La Porte City traveling in a northwesterly direction to the Black Hawk‑Bremer County line into Janesville via the Cities of La Porte City, Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Iowa.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate US 218 and its extension in Black Hawk County as follows:

 

Beginning on the Black Hawk‑Benton County line at a point approximately 1,200 feet east of the SW Corner of Section 36‑T87N‑R12W, Black Hawk County (NW Corner of Section 1‑T86N‑R12W, Benton County); thence north to the south corporation line of the City of La Porte City connecting with an unnamed street.

 

La Porte City:

 

Beginning on the south corporation line connecting with an unnamed street; thence northerly and northwesterly to the north corporation line connecting with an unnamed street.
