DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 2002-TJ-001, between Black Hawk County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of unsigned Iowa 263 from Black Hawk-Grundy County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 31-T89N-R14W, Black Hawk County (SE Corner Section 36-T89N-R15W, Grundy County); thence east along the Black Hawk-Grundy County line to a point near the NW Corner Section 6-T88N-R14W, Black Hawk County (NE Corner Section 1-T88N-R15W, Grundy County); thence south along the Black Hawk-Grundy County line to a point near the W ¼ Corner Section 6-T88N-R14W, Black Hawk County (E ¼ Corner Section 1-T88N-R15W, Grundy County/junction US 20) to county jurisdiction on March 31, 2003.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve deleting the present description of Unsigned Iowa 263 and its extensions in Black Hawk County from the Primary Road System.

New Description- Unsigned Iowa 263 and its extensions in Black Hawk County described as follows:

Beginning on the Black Hawk-Grundy County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 31-T89N-R14W, Black Hawk County (SE Corner Section 36-T89N-R15W, Grundy County); thence east along the Black Hawk-Grundy County line to a point near the NW Corner Section 6-T88N-R14W, Black Hawk County (NE Corner Section 1-T88N-R15W, Grundy County); thence south along the Black Hawk County line to a point near the W ¼ Corner Section 6-T88N-R14W, Black Hawk County (E ¼ Corner Section 1-T88N-R15W, Grundy County/junction US 20).

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve adding the description of Unsigned Iowa 263 in Black Hawk County to the Primary Road System.
