DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 95-TJ-002 transferred Unsigned Iowa 919 to the city of Urbana on July 1, 1995.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that Unsigned Iowa 919 be deleted from the Primary Road System.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of our primary road records the official description of Unsigned Iowa 919 in Benton County should be revised and the new description added to the primary road records.

Unsigned Iowa 919 begins at a junction with relocated Iowa 363 just north of Urbana and travels south and east into the City of Urbana with a spur at the north edge of Urbana extending west 681 feet.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve revising the description of Unsigned Iowa 919 in Benton County and including the new description in the primary road system.

New Description ‑ Unsigned Iowa 919 and its extension in Benton County described as follows:

Beginning at a point approximately 250 feet north and 200 feet east of the S ¼ Corner of the SE ¼ of Section 27‑T86N‑R9W (junction Iowa 363); thence south through Section 27 to the north corporation line of Urbana connecting with Ash Street.

Also

With a spur beginning at a point in the SE ¼ of Section 27‑T86N‑R9W approximately 50 feet north of Urbana extending westerly 681 feet.

Urbana:

Beginning at the north corporation line connecting with Ash Street; thence south on Ash Street to Wood Street; thence east on Wood Street to Walnut Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 363 was relocated near the City of Urbana to connect with Interstate 380 that was opened to traffic August 14, 1984. The portion of Iowa 363 in the City of Urbana should be re-designated as Unsigned Iowa 919 and the official description of Unsigned Iowa 919 should be included in the Primary Road System to reflect this re-designation.

It is recommended to approve adding the description of Unsigned Iowa 919 and its extension in Benton County to the Primary Road System.
