DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

New Description - Iowa 27 (Avenue of the Saints) and its extensions in Benton County described as follows:

Beginning at the Benton-Linn County line at a point near the E ¼ Corner Section 1-T85N-R9W, Benton County (W ¼ Corner Section 6-T85N-R8W, Linn County); thence northwest through Section 1-T85N-R9W and Sections 36, 35, and 26-T86N-R9W to the east corporation line of Urbana, connecting with Interstate 380 (at a point near the W ¼ Corner Section 26-T86N-R9W).

Urbana:

Beginning on the east corporation line, connecting with Interstate 380 (at a point near the W ¼ Corner Section 26-T86N-R9W); thence northwesterly on said unnamed street to the west corporation line (approximately 720 feet south of the W ¼ Corner Section 22-T86N-R9W).

Beginning again on the west corporation line of Urbana, connecting with Interstate 380 (approximately 720 feet south of the W ¼ Corner Section 22-T86N-R9W); thence northwesterly through Sections 21, 16, 17, 8, 7, and 6-T86N-R9W and Section 1-T86N-R10W to the Benton-Buchanan County Line on the north line of Section 1-T86N-R10W, Benton County (south line of Section 36-T87N-R10W, Buchanan County).

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve adding the description of Iowa 27 (Avenue of the Saints) in Benton County to the Primary Road System.
