DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to the review of our Primary Road System Iowa 25 in Adams County should be deleted from the Primary System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate Iowa 25 in Adams County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point near the SE Corner Section 36‑T71‑32W, Adams County (SW Corner Section 3l‑T7lN‑R31W, Union County) (NW Corner Section 6‑T70‑R31W, Ringgold County) (NE Corner Section 1‑T70N‑R32W, Taylor County); thence northerly following substantially the Adams‑Union County line along Sections 36, 25, 24, 13, 12 and 1‑T71N‑R32W to a point near the E ¼ Corner Section 1‑T71N‑R32W, Adams County (W ¼ Corner Section 6‑T71N‑R31W, Union County).

 

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Iowa 25 in Adams County, Iowa.

 

NOTE: To become effective upon adoption of this resolution.

To provide a more detailed description of the primary extensions in Adams County, the official descriptions should be revised and new descriptions officially included in the primary road system for the following routes:

 

Iowa 148

Unsigned Iowa 951

 

The geographic locations of these routes will remain unchanged. The new descriptions will provide more detail within municipalities.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended to approve revising the descriptions of primary extensions in Adams County and including the new descriptions in the primary road system.
