I-29 near the I-29/U.S. 20/U.S. 75 interchange

Placement of overhead sign structures will require nighttime intermittent lane closures on southbound Interstate 29 north of the I-29/U.S. 20/U.S. 75 interchange (exit 144) and south of the Floyd Boulevard interchange (exit 147) between 10 p.m. and midnight Tuesday and Thursday, Jan. 27 and 29, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportationís District 3 office in Sioux City.
  • Traffic will be stopped for 20-minute intervals.
  • Motorists approaching this area should drive with caution and be prepared to stop for traffic backups beyond the limits of the work zone.
In addition, the contractor will also close the inside lane of I-29 beginning Monday, Jan. 26, for approximately two weeks to allow for completion of the sign construction.
